An Inscription for the Back Yard of Zen of Bliss Fane

By CHANG Jian

Tr. ZHAO Yanchun

The morning enters the old fane; The new sun shines o’er the woods tall.To the quietude zigzags the lane;Mid trees and flowers is the Zen hall. The scenic hills do the birds please; The abyss waves can clean one’s soul. All falls calm and all feels at ease,Except there lingers the bell toll.
